Foodgasm at Queen Victoria Markets. I got so sad when I couldn't eat anymore because I just wanted to try everything!

1/ I think my house could go a pink cactus
2-3/ Mexican times at La Cantina. I couldn't enough of the Jarritos. Will have to find a place I can bulk-buy these.
4-5/ Celebrity voodoo dolls. My favourite QVM stall. We hogged the tabled for literally 20 minutes trying to guess every character
6/ Bamboo curtains
7/Ummm... I have no explanation. We saw this guy from across the road and immediately ran over and started following behind as he walked taking pictures. You just don't see shit like this everyday.
8-11/ American doughnuts! This had the longest line so we knew it must be good. I'm not a giant donut fan but damn I would go back for these. So sugary and jammy - can't you see it all in Shez's face? The best thing was watching them make it. The guy uses a cookie cutter to cut and throws these little doughy balls to the chick next to him, all in one motion, who frantically arranges them on the tray for baking. I got a picture of one mid-air... that took a while.
9/ This is the most random chemist ever - selling ukuleles. Pharmacist after my own heart
10/Fresh dip.. hmmm
11/ Salami heaven

Just A Hint Of Print

I can safely say it's been years since I've shopped inside a surf shop. Over the years, I've felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of ugly trimmings and branded T-shirts.

When someone comes to visit me I think I'm a lot more open minded. I'm up for any suggestions that can be fall under the guise of 'trying something new' (or a rewind back to the early 2000's as in this case). So when we were wondering around Chaddy trying to find things I could actually afford we somehow stumbled into Jetty Surf. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least - hey, yeh... there is some damn ugly stuff in there - but it wasn't too bad...

Lui Bar, Rialto Tower

I have my friend Shereen visiting me at the moment! When people come visit me in Melbourne I love taking them to places that you can't experience elsewhere. Lui Bar, attached to Vue De Monde, was the perfect place to watch the sunset over Melbourne on a Sunday evening. On Sundays they play some smooth, smooth live music - great thinking music to reflect on a long day of doing nothing . We admired the view of Port Melbourne and St Kilda beach while we sipped on the Lola Montez Spider Dance Fizz and the smoked rhubarb Sous Vide Shrub which weirdly, was exactly like you would expect smoked rhubarb to taste. I think this place is just about to see my business there increase 500%...
