Green Day
So lucky to still be getting some sun! I was so excited about going to the Botanical Gardens yesterday that I just had to go today and drag Tas with me! First we got some food at 8 Days Cafe on High Street which was wondrous. We were actually going to walk around the Tan but in classic style we went past Thomas Dux on walking back to our car got croissants and then laid in the grass and did nothing! Perfect Day.

Good To See You Too Babe!
After spending a lazy morning watching an interview between Tony Martin and Alan Davies I hauled myself up off the couch to get some vitamin D. If I know I have the day to myself I love going out for a walk. Seeing as I was back in Melbourne from Gippsland for the weekend I decided to go to the Botanical Gardens. I used to always walk around there when I lived on St Kilda Rd and it was nice to revisit my usually stomping ground. It was such a nice day after I finished my walk I went into a quiet bit and laid out like a starfish.
Later that night I went to Dave Gorman's Powerpoint Presentation, a show which is a part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Comedy shows are always the worst things to be late to - comedians must spend so much time, sitting at home, trying to figure out how to embarrass people. And as predicted we were late! Another failure of the Melbourne transport system - it took 50 minutes to get from south yarra to the city... ridiculous!
Anyway the show was really funny and in our celebratory mood we went out got some thai food (tiny tiny place called Lotus Thai Cafe but amazing), bubble tea and Max Brenner. Tas and I spent ages on the astroturf in the middle of the QV building contemplating life and how well some asian guys dress.

Beach Babies - Fourth and Final Day in Sydney
I was so obsessed with the idea of going to the beach today, which I so sorely miss after moving to Melbourne from Perth. I forgot to bring bathers so got some $30 bathers from witchery (pretty impressive) and headed down to Coogee. It was so relaxing being able to top up my tan however the water was more like an ice bath... but my brain forced me in, guilt-tripped by the thought that I may never see a beach again (or in a few months at least) despite my body completely disagreeing with this idea.
That night before I caught my flight outta there Shez and I decided to have a mini culinary adventure at the Westfield food court - lets just say that if food courts were the royal family, Westfield Sydney food court would be the Queen and Chadstone food court would be Fergie.

Bills Babies - Day Two in Sydney
Day two started as every good day does - with a good breakfast. After a feed at Bills, we had a stroll around Surry Hills. Unsurprisingly, we spent a considerable amount of Thomas Dux - its so much fun discovering the weird and wonderful things they have there as well as plenty of cheese tasting. I love the way they have stacking shelves down to a fine art - everything is stacked with the label to the front, symmetrical, in neat columns and rows - perfecting satisfying my OCDness. We also visited this incredibly cute little shop, Holy Kitsch, specialising in Mexican themed homewards where I got the most appropriate and healthy-lifestyle-encouraging shopping bag and Shez got some wall decoration.
We then headed into the city to continue our shopping streak and enjoy the sounds of the bucket band on Pitt St mall. I finally ended the struggle of all struggles and got this Nicola Finetti skirt I have been dreaming about.
