Sunday Breakfast at Fortysevenkirwanstreet

Melbourne is all about 'hidden gems'. You know, those industrial looking places down an alley, then down a smaller alleyway, then go down 3 flights of stairs, then go through a tiny door and take the elevator to level 5. Yep totes meet you there - maybe in 5 hours? As much as I love running around the CBD getting progressively hungrier and thirstier, there are some times in life when I just want to park out the front, roll on in and have someone shower me with bacon. Those times are Sunday mornings.

Enter Fortysevenkirwanstreet. So simple, so fresh, so obviously locatable, so lacking a spacebar. And they made good simple food -  eggs was scrambled, avocado was green, bacon was crispy and tomato sauce came in a tomato. Life made sense.

I like tomato sauce.

Fortysevenkirwanstreet
6.5/10
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly service
Cons: Have to fight for table. Literally -we had one guy giving us the eye the whole time. Waitresses should coordinate the queue a bit better, like write it down! Not enough newspapers.
